The focus of my scientific research was nonuniform networks, their models and algorithmic implications. I am particularly interested in computational intelligence, structural properties, and complexity in general. These days I am more of an executive than a researcher, however.
I started my academic career at Helsinki University of Technology (now part of Aalto University) in Finland, then worked for well over a decade at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico, after which I was with McGill University in Canada. At present, I work for Collège LaSalle as Dean of Technology.
My post-graduate/doctoral studies were on Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematics, although for the Master's degree I majored in Software Engineering with a Usability Research minor. Outside my degree studies I've put effort into Applied Mathematics and Operations Research.
